September 16th/04 Well, it's FALL again and you're all back in school! The Fall Kick-Off Bible Studies are happening every Wednesday Night 7pm Joel's talking about the Core Values of SWAP Youth. May 26th/04 WOW! Lots has happened since last month... not only have we been to History Maker... but we have a YOUTH PASTOR!!!!! Let's all give it up for Joel and Melysa Sedan *roaring applause* So if you missed last Wednesday night I'll try to put the pictures up of Joel with pudding all over his face (I just have to find the camera...) also there will be a display of HM Pictures tonight at youth that I will try to get online ASAP. Tonight is going to be awesome with songs we learned at HM, testimonies from people who went, and JOEL's going to share from the Word. -you don't want to miss this, especially if you weren't at HM. April 28th/04 Okaaaay so I hear the Games Night was amazingly awesome! Thanks to all of you who did such a great job of planning the evening!!! Are you sitting down?? 'cause guess what... April 14/04 So the $67 rate for History Maker is due TONIGHT at the latest. You can still register for $77 after tonight, but we need it ASAP!! Oh hey, HAPPY EASTER!! Thanks to those who helped out at the mall with face painting and the fish pond :o) What an awesome opportunity to raise a bit of money and serve at a community event. The next (and last) fundraiser for History Maker will be after the morning service on Sunday May 2nd. We're throwing a BBQ for the church congregation. If you'd like to raise some money for History Maker, make sure you're in touch with us regarding the preparation, and are here for the event. Coming up next Friday April 23rd 7pm, is a GIANT Games night!! You don't want to miss this! Excellent opportunity to invite your friends! See you at youth tonight!

March 3/04 Okaaaaaaay it's 2004!!!!!!!!! Time flies.. or maybe it's just me because I'm getting old :oP Regardless, things are going great with youth! We've started a 40 Day series called "Welcome To The Planet" and are starting to get ready for this year's HISTORY MAKER!! *crowd goes wild* If you didn't get your registration in tonight, you can still register for $67 so get a registration form (hit the HM logo on the home page and download the .pdf) and bring the form and the cash to youth! We're working on fundraisers to help with the cost of accomidations. The first one will be next Sunday (March 14th) during the church's Annual General Meeting. November 19th/03 Hey everyone!! So we got a few inches of snow today, Christmas is on the way! We are continueing to do series of Bible Studies where we lock in our groups for the series and dig into God's truths. September 23/03 Wow! What a great summer!! It was great to have Joel Reimer helping out!!! Congrats to Lee Tarsuik and Michal Currie who were baptised at Canoe Beach this summer! Kick-off for the fall youth was an all-nighter last Friday. Attendance was unbelievable! Hope you guys had a great time. Bible Study starts tonight at 7:12pm. We're looking at having small groups, but we still need leaders! If you have any ideas, please let us know!! I'm going to try to get the pictures from the allnighter online ASAP so keep checking back for updates!

June 24/03 So.. History Maker was a HUUUUGE success! If you didn't come this year, talk to someone who did and they'll tell you that "you just HAAAAAAVE to come next year!!" How are your guys' seeds coming along? Mine have sprouted but I need to quickly plant them in dirt or I think they're going to die! Anyone know what kind of seeds they are yet? Keep working on your dreams!! Let one of the youth leaders know about them.. maybe we can help you.. we can for sure pray for you!! Any of you guys into art? Next year's History Maker theme is REALITY.. start working on some poster ideas because they're looking for ideas from you to create next year's promo stuff!! The summer schedule has started with the guy's camping trip and the girl's shopping/beach day. Joel Reimer is our intern student Pastor for the summer! If you have ideas for things you want to do this summer, talk to Joel! It's going to be an awesome summer!!!

March 19/03 Helloooo!!! I've just added the March and April Calendars (a little late for March I know, I'm sorry..) So we've gone through Case For Christ and a series on True Love Waits! Wow, what awesome topics! So just to remind you, there is a message board on this site so you can talk about these past series! Coming up next is our SWAP Get-Away! We're going to catch the Pre-History Maker Rally at CLA in Langley, details are in the invitation. Thirty Hour famine has snuck up on us too! Pledge forms will be going out ASAP! If you've registered for the $55 Early-Bird Rate for History Maker, but still haven't paid me and haven't talked to me about it, I'm lookin for the $$ Don't make me hunt you down ;o) If you haven't registered yet, but want to come, let me know before April 16th and we can register you for the $65 rate. January 3/03 It's 2003 everyone!!! A brand new year! So how was everyone's Christmas and New Years? I just put some of the pictures taken at New Years online so check them out. Coming up April 4th and 5th is the Thirty Hour Famine! I'm telling you three months in advance so that you can plan to be come :o) It's always a fun time, and a major way that Canadian teens can actually make a difference for world hunger! (Sounds impossible, but through World Vision because of our help, "the number of children who die each day is dropping! -today 5,000 children will live becuse they now have food to eat, clean water, and a place to live!") You can be a part of this too!! The month after the 30 hour famine is HISTORY MAKER in Kamloops! We'll let you all know when the info and registrations come in.. any fundraising ideas??     November 4/02 Four months since the last update! Sorry everyone. A LOT has happened in the past four months. We've said good-bye to our summer interns (THANKYOU SO MUCH Justin and Jenne!!! They did an awesome job!) and to our college students Joel, Clint, Laura, and Jenny (we're praying for you guys!) The leadership team attended a Student Ministries Conference put on by the Willow Creek Association in October and were very inspired. We have some ideas we're working through, so get ready!!! I'm looking at adding a page with the current leadership team. What do you guys want to know about us? e-mail your suggestions to me! I attended the Merge this weekend and encourage you to make sure you go when you're in gr.12+ It's like History Maker for young adults! BIG EVENT this month is the Silver Back's game in Vernon!! Invite your friends and sign up with Alisha!! (we're thinking of going purple ha ha ha!!)
    July 15/02 It's SUMMER TIME!! History Maker is over and we're already into our summer calendar!! Justin and Jenne Reimer are our summer interns! The youth room is starting to look good!! Special thanks to the Baghdassarian's for donating the air hockey table! Lots of cool stuff is planned, so come out and join us!
    Mar. 26/02 Our Clintini's Mexican Fiesta Fundraiser was a HUGE success! Thanks to everyone who helped out and came to the restraunt!! We've already got a few pictures for the youth board. Do you have a scanner and could help us get pictures on the webpage? Let me know. This weekend is Easter and we're planning an outreach event. If you'd like to help at the booth Friday and/or Saturday March 29th/30th please e-mail cdemeter@sunwave.net. Don't forget to come to the Easter Cantata on March 31st at 7pm!! HAPPY EASTER!!
    Feb. 20/02 The Delta and Meltdown trips the past two weekends were awesome!! If you didn't make it to either of them, don't worry! HM02 is coming up May 18-20th in Kamloops, BC!! Registration forms are available on the Youth Board at the church. $45 registation is due March 3rd. We'll be fundraising for hotel and transportation costs, so make sure you're at the fundraisers! We're planning a Clintini's Mexican Feista Night on March 22nd and a Big Scren Movie night with the WWP movie "Something to Sing About" (with one of the twins from sister sister, and Eddie from Family Matters!) We'll be charging admition and making popcorn and other canteen items available :o) I want to hear your thoughts on Delta and Meltdown so start writing on the webboard!! What were the main points you remember? Write, Write, Write!!

    January, 2002 It's the start of a brand new year! How exciting as we look forward to what God's going to do in the youth group!! The year is off to a great start with Russ and Jaime beginning renovations on the youth lounge. What do you think? Does it look good? Do you have any suggestions? (put your two bits in on the webboard) This week is set as our "Annual Week of Prayer" Let's really be praying for SWAP this year. Pray that God will give you dreams and visions of things that you'd like to see happen. We're Servants With A Passion, so let's get passionate and start dreaming!
